Online Learning Through Sisters Educational Options

Sisters Educational Options offers flexible online learning designed to fit your student’s needs. Using Edmentum, families can choose how much support they want, from a home-based experience to fully teacher-led online courses.

Choose the Learning Trail That Fits Your Student

Think of each option as a different path, families can choose the level of support and structure that works best with the ability to easily adjust. All students use the same high-quality online curriculum, but how they experience it can look very different depending on their needs.

Family-Supported (Home-Based Learning)

A flexible, home-based option where families guide daily learning.

  • Students may learn primarily at home with support from a parent, tutor, or learning coach
  • Students work at their own pace
  • Parents or guardians support learning at home
  • Built-in schedules and guidance are provided
  • Ideal for families who want strong involvement and flexibility

Teacher-Supported (EdOptions Academy)

A more structured option with certified online teachers.

  • Courses taught by state-certified teachers
  • Teachers provide instruction, grading, and feedback
  • Regular communication and progress monitoring
  • Ideal for students who benefit from guidance and structure
Students can learn independently at home or work directly with certified teachers; this video shows how that works:

What Could a Typical Day Look Like?

Every student’s schedule can look different.

For example:

  • A student may work independently at home in the morning and check in with a teacher in the afternoon
  • Another student may follow a structured daily schedule with teacher support and set deadlines

The program is designed to adapt to your student—not the other way around.

Can Students Combine This With In-Person School?

Yes. Many students use online learning as part of a broader educational experience.

Depending on your student’s plan, they may:

  • Take some classes online and others on campus
  • Participate in sports, clubs, or activities at school
  • Combine online learning with internships or other opportunities
