At Sisters School District, our goal is to get students to school safe, on time, and ready to learn. It is our commitment to provide the students of our district with safe, economical, and reliable transportation delivered in a professional, friendly manner that is conducive to learning.
Please have you children at the bus stop three minutes prior to their bus stop time.
If your children are not getting off at their own bus stop, you will need to send a note indicating the address where they are going (please don’t say grandma’s house), how long they need to go there (everyday, on this day only, daily, or every Monday). Please sign and date the note and include a phone number in case we need to reach you. A student who does not have a note will be sent to his or her home on the bus.
The bus stops have been divided up into separate documents, each with their own route and also by either morning or afternoon stop times. This way, you only have to print out the routes you need.
When the weather is bad (usually extreme snow or ice), our auto-dialer calls families in the morning to ensure they know of schedule changes. In addition, be sure to tune into the television and / or radio stations listed below to see if the schools in the Sisters School District are closed. If schools are closed or delayed, the decision is made between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. by district officials and reported to the news media.
On the occasion that the Sisters School District has a late start or a school closure due to inclement weather, or for another reason, there will be a district-wide message sent to all households via our Alert Now system. This is the same system that we use for our phone messages regarding absences. It is very important to keep your phone contact information updated. Update your phone information by clicking here. We will also post on the district website and notify KTVZ and most local radio stations.
